Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is open to discuss a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is currently halfway through the four-year contract he agreed to when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.
The experienced forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which marked the first important trophy of his distinguished career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would be pleased to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England skipper has now indicated that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he once was, and would certainly consider prolonging his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that," he remarked.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an honest conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have learned in my career is that different chances and different moments happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five competitions, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had escaped him until he won the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would react after ending his trophy drought, but now believes it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
